Traveling to Mexico Robert led us to a wonderful experience, we could only have been the case. Camping in remote ferry landing on the Gulf of Mexico, deepening our immersion in the ancient ruins of El Tajín spending the night in the parking lot, with breakfast in our motorhome with a taxi driver in Xalapa, watching informal rodeo at a restaurant in Chihuahua - these are just some of our treasured memories. There were shortcomings, but. Getting lost, having to maneuver out of tight spots motorhome, which really need to find a place for RV at night, the issue of visiting the city while in the R. ... He quickly with a third person, but my husband and I are one, which needs regular food petrol, water and electricity, and needed to dump the water frequently.
In the U.S., it is very easy. You simply remove the motorhome at any size and shape, and everywhere you go, you can find a public or private campgrounds. There are large national directories list them. You can have a general idea what to expect when you go.
Mexico did not want that. In some parts of the country, more developed, especially the Pacific coast beach towns where American and Canadian RVers have been going for many years. But if you get the beaten ways, Robert travel to Mexico is bound to be an adventure.

Pleasant
We greatly enjoyed a mini-home with us wherever we went. In our own beds, kitchen, bathroom, and gave the kind of trip simplicity and stability, which we liked. We both have been writing a lot during the trip, and with the table for our two laptops was another advantage. We loved the cooking most of our meals, only eat when we want to, not because it was the only choice other than snacking. It should be something that will not live out of a suitcase - and for us, as well as notebooks and Kelly video equipment, a necessary part of our business reasons for travel, it would be a few suitcases!
Flexible
We treasured the flexibility, too. Without tickets, we could go when and where we would spontaneously. And while it is true that the outstanding bus system in Mexico, I search everywhere, I doubt we would have gone to many of the more remote places, we have studied, if we were forced to do so on the bus.
Economical
RVing is an economical way to travel, if you go long distances in the tower that the poor get fuel mileage. Our Toyota Dolphin, on average 17 miles per gallon - we have followed. Thus, even if gas prices were higher than in Mexico, the United States, our transportation costs were not bad at all. You must purchase Mexican automobile - U.S. insurance is not honored there.
We have an average of $ 10 per night camping, especially since many nights were free. As grocery costs, perhaps 60% of U.S. prices, we ate avocados and mangoes in abundance. I'm not a big beef-man-eater at home, but I loved the flavorful (though generally tougher) Mexican beef. Fresh bread and bakery goods were inexpensive, and I was happy to see the whole grain bread from time to time.
Convenient
Care foundation in general convenient. Bottled water is sold, even in tiny villages where you can buy a large container, and then complete the exchange of plastic bottles is another in a different place when you are finished. I was very pleased to see how widely available clean water. This is a tremendous step forward in public health in Mexico. At just over a dollar for roughly five gallons, the cost was insignificant to us, although still a problem for poor Mexicans.
Groceries and household items easy to find - all city chain store supermarkets which also have a household and drugstore items. The public markets offer a wide choice of products and meat. Even in small towns, is the mini-supers "(this is what they call them) of various sizes.
Staying in touch with family, friends, and our business is easy with the Internet. Everywhere in Mexico, we found good little internet cafe. After a while the connection speed was prehistoric, but usually good and sometimes Very Good. It usually cost from one to two dollars an hour. We have been online in about two days a week. A couple of times, we have an idyllic spot, because they have no connection there, but we never had far to go to find them. Mexicans have become the Internet, and only a few can afford computers at home - and many of them have mobile phones, as regular phone service may be difficult to obtain and expensive - as a café to meet a real need, and much more numerous than in the U.S.
What size R. accept?
As with other Americans in the campgrounds, we found that people in a small RV, as a rule, Have More fun and going to more remote locations. Our small Toyota did well.
I think that the ideal vehicle for the versatile Mexican driving some form of van. It could be a good van conversions to finish or even a regular passenger van to which you've added some basic camping supply or built-in bed, table, kitchen, and, perhaps, a little bathroom. This will allow you to use it to sleep and eat when you want, but you can still stay in hotels and get the car under the overall short-entry gate.
When you select your route and find campings
We chose its own path as we went along, but we did set out some general ideas. We have never been along the coast of the Persian Gulf and would like to see it. We wanted to go to some archaeological sites. We were curious to see if we could find a place we could go back and live for several months. It is well known that the more miles of travel, the more travel and less time, you are not behind the wheel, we plan to cover only a part of Mexico this time. Once there, it was difficult to give up some of the places I wanted to see what was more, but we do not give to these impulses. It was much more fun to have a relaxing trip.
When there is no camp
Whenever we were going to stay for the night and there was no camp, we started to talk to the locals and ask their advice on places to stay. We have done all that over Mexico in 1979. Travelers say that it is more risky now. If so, I do not know how, but on this trip we did always ask, where in the beginning of travel, we do not always worry.
Danger and crime
We have heard terrible tales of weapons and crimes in Mexico, while the scariest of the librarian in Texas, whose ex-husband carried weapons around Mexico! Like attracts like, they say.
We had the experience of a petty theft. One Sunday afternoon, we were in the camp balneario popular, or hot springs, and we put our bathing suits and towels on the back of R. dry before taking a walk. I have an old pair of shoes with me, and they were quite wet. I put them on the hood to dry Toyota, where they were more visible to people who happen by. Send Football Season Out With a Bang! – Tips on How to Throw a Fabulous & Fun Super Bowl Party
On February 1st, 2009 a huge event is coming to Invitation Consultants hometown of Tampa, FL. It’s the Super Bowl. While most people are energized about the rivalry, the teams and the players, I am excited for two completely different reasons. Reason # 1: It’s officially the end of another NFL season. Now don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate football…I just don’t love it either. And after 17 weeks of planning my Sundays around the Buccaneers’ game schedule, I am definitely ready for a much needed, six-month vacation. Reason # 2 why I can’t wait till the Super Bowl: It’s a GREAT excuse to have a party. For the last two years, my husband and I have hosted a party at our house, and since neither of us plan on shelling out the $600 per ticket for this year’s game, I think we are going to make this year 3 for 3 for party-hosting. In case you’ve never thrown a Super Bowl bash, or you are just looking for some new ideas, here are some of my tips on Super Bowl party success:
Invitations- Before your party even starts, your Super Bowl invitations will set the theme for your event. If you’re inviting your guests to arrive early to drink or barbeque before the game, choose an invitation that reflects this. If your event is more about the game, and less about the pre-party, consider an invitation featuring a Football, Helmet or Stadium. When wording your invitation, make sure to include an email address or phone number where guests can RSVP (and don’t forget the date to RSVP by!) Not only will this help when ordering food, but it will also ensure you have enough seats for all of your guests around the TV. Last but not least, on the invitation be sure to include the exact time your party is starting. True, the game may not start till seven, but if you don’t specify an exact time, Cousin Jack may show up at two, ready to party hard. Trust me. I know from experience. In this situation, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Decorations- If ever there was a time to break out the vintage jerseys, helmet collection and foam fingers, a Super Bowl Party is it. Show your team spirit and purchase plates, napkins and cups in your favorite team’s colors (added bonus: disposable plates and cups mean no late Sunday/early Monday clean-up!) Are you and your best friend rooting for opposing teams? Divide the room in half, and decorate half with signs and decorations supporting your favorite team, leaving the other half for your friend to decorate however they wish. Once guests start arriving, they can choose their seats based on which team they are cheering for. Just remember…don't spend too much money on decorations. A majority of the party will be spent staring at the TV…not the décor you slaved over for hours. The key is to find the perfect balance. Use enough decorations to get your guests revved up and ready for the game, but don’t break the bank doing so.
Food- For me, food is the most important part of a successful Super Bowl Party (it is is the second-largest U.S. food consumption day afterall.) Try to accommodate all of your guests with a little something from each food category. For your health-nut friends, pick up a fruit and veggie platter and pair it with some hummus and whole-wheat pita chips. For your junk food junkies, whip up some buffalo wings, chili cheese dip, and nachos. When setting out the spread, be sure to keep your snacks as close to the television as possible. No one wants to miss the game’s big play because they were in the next room chowin’ down. This rule also applies to your beverages. Fill up a cooler with ice, beer, soda and water and keep it close by so your guests won’t have to miss a minute of the action.
Last but not least, just remember to relax, eat and have fun. Yell at the refs, laugh at the commercials and sing with the musicians during the half-time show. This event only comes around once a year, so you might as well enjoy it.

Old Fashion Recipes for Sausage Stuffed Zucchini Casserole and Honey Mustard Coleslaw
This old fashion recipe for garden favorite, zucchini, is quick, easy, and delicious. The inside of the zucchini is scooped out and replaced with a sausage mixture. The whole thing is covered with cheese and baked in the oven. You have meat, vegetables, dairy, and grain all in one easy dish. Serve with Honey Mustard Coleslaw, if desired.
SAUSAGE STUFFED ZUCCHINI CASSEROLE
This recipe is from the neighborhood when my school was located. (My elementary, junior high, and high all in one building!)
4 medium zucchini 1/2 lb sausage, crumbled, fried, and drained 1 onion, chopped 1/2 cup fine whole wheat bread crumbs 1/4 cup tomato sauce 1 beaten egg 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp dried thyme 1/4 tsp dried oregano 1/4 tsp pepper Parmesan cheese for topping
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Leave zucchini whole and cook in boiling water for 10 minutes. Remove zucchini from water and allow to cool enough to handle. Cut zucchini in half lengthwise and scoop out the centers. Combine the sausage, bread crumbs, tomato sauce, egg, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Mix together well and stuff the zucchini with the mixture. Top with as much Parmesan cheese as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
HONEY MUSTARD COLESLAW
4 cups shredded cabbage 1 cup shredded carrots 1/4 cup sliced green onions 1/4 cup cider vinegar 3 tbsp honey mustard 1 cup mayonnaise 1 tsp poppy seeds 2 tsp sugar salt to taste pepper to taste
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions; toss well to mix. In a small bowl, blend the vinegar, honey mustard, mayonnaise, poppy seeds, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and season with salt and pepper. Chill several hours before serving.

Sharpening Hunting Knives
Being prepared is the keystone to any successful hunting trip. That means having the right gear ready when you need it. It also means having that gear in working order for the tasks at hand. You can own the most expensive hunting knife on the market but if it is not properly sharpened, it will be useless. Knife sharpening is one of the most commonly overlooked aspects of hunting trip preparedness. With just some basic sharpening knowledge and a couple of simple tools, however, any hunter can be sure to have their knife ready.
Testing Your Blade
A number of simple tests exist to test the sharpness of your hunting knife. Some outdoorsmen test a knife's sharpness by shaving a small patch of hair on their arms or hands. This test is quick and effective but, let's be honest, a little dangerous for a novice. For those not confident that they can tell their blade is dull, there are blade edge testing kits available at through outdoor equipment retailers. These kits can be expensive.
Experienced hunters can often tell if a blade is dull just by looking at it. To visually look for dullness, hold the blade with the edge in line with a strong light source and move it back and forth a bit. If you see a reflection or glint then you have a dull blade. If all else fails, walk into your outdoor goods store and ask a professional to help you assess knife sharpness.
The Right Tools
Once you have concluded that your knife needs sharpening, you will need to get your hands on the right sharpening equipment. Sharpening stones are effective, commonly used, and come in a variety of styles and sizes. When purchasing a stone, look for one made from compounds with a relative hardness of 9 or higher. Stones made from bonded aluminum oxide or silicon carbide work very well, as does silicon carbide sandpaper glued to a wooden block or something similar.
A sharpening guide is a clamp-like tool that attaches to the blade of the knife and aids in controlling the angle of the blade. This may be helpful for notice knife sharpeners because they are the only way to guarantee an accurate sharpening angle. More advanced hunters may find them unnecessary.
Sharpening The Blade
There are two basic steps to correctly sharpening a blade. The first is to develop a burr, or, a rough, ragged edge on the surface of the blade. Once that is created, the blade then needs to be polished until the edge is smooth.
To develop a burr, first set the angle of the blade correctly and then grind one side until you have removed the old edge. Continue grinding until you can feel the burr with your thumb; it should feel jagged and serrated. Once you have a nice burr on one side, flip the blade over and raise a burr on the other. Keep in mind that some knives (ceramic and very hard steel primarily) will not raise a burr. If you've tried raising a burr on your blade without any success, you may have one of these kinds. Consult a professional for information on sharpening these blades.
Once you've raised a burr on your blade take the time to put some finishing touches on your knife by polishing the blade. There are three basic polishing strokes you can use to finish the sharpening process - on-stroke, off-stroke, or circular strokes. The off-stroke is the easiest technique for beginners. Begin to grind away the burr made by the first stone you used. The burr should gradually begin to fade. Once it is almost undetectable, switch to the circular stroke and finish grinding off the old scratch pattern. Finish up by using light strokes to get rid of the remaining burr. At this point your blade should be extremely sharp, with no burr and only micro-serrations.
Don't be afraid to ask professionals for help. Woodworkers and butchers are usually more qualified in the art of sharpening than knife makers or collectors. Ask one in your area if they can assist you or provide you with some simple techniques.
It is important for all your hunting tools to be in prime condition before you go on a trip, and your knife is no exception. With these tools and proper techniques you can effectively sharpen your knife before or during your trip and not have to worry about the problems a dull blade can cause.
I Love Organic Wine - A Mendocino, California Cabernet Sauvignon
Mendocino County lies on the Pacific Ocean, past Sonoma and Marin Counties to the north of San Francisco. This lovely area is particularly known for sparkling wines including some by the French Champagne house Roederer Estate. The wine reviewed below comes from the Ukiah Valley, home to several prestigious wine makers, two breweries, and a town named Ukiah once voted the #1 best small town to live in California. Bonterra is an organic wine producer who also makes biodynamic wine that costs more than twice today's offering. Their main ranch building is made of reclaimed materials.

Let's start by quoting the marketing materials. Description: This Cabernet used only organically grown grapes. The extra effort rewards with pure and polished aromas and flavors of cassis, cherry, roasted herbs, licorice and ripe blackberry, all wrapped in silky tannins with a medium-long finish. Enjoy with rosemary-and-thyme-rubbed veal chops, or with a hearty lasagna of beef, zucchini and eggplant. Our Quality Assurance Laboratory has determined that this wine contains 15 mg/L of free sulphur. And now for my review.
With the first sips the wine was mouth-filling and quite long. The initial meal consisted of slow-cooked beef ribs with sliced potatoes and a side of eggplant roasted in its skin with lots of Olive Oil and garlic. The wine was very plummy with some tobacco and soft tannins. Its length was fine. The eggplant dish intensified the wine's tobacco taste. When I added a spicy green jalapeno pepper sauce the wine stepped up to meet it.
The second meal included zucchini and onions stuffed with rice and ground beef, cooked with potatoes and spices including pepper, garlic powder and cumin. The Cabernet Sauvignon was round with black cherries and some oak; it's aged in a mixture of French and American oak. It was mouth-filling and I tasted tobacco in the background.
The final meal centered around store-bought barbecued chicken wings in a sweet and sour sauce and chicken thighs whose skin was dusted with paprika. The sides were rice and green beans in a homemade tomato sauce. Once again the wine was round; now I got more than a touch of tobacco in the background. It was quite a good match.
As usual I tasted this wine with two cheeses; a goat's milk cheese and a Swiss Emmenthaler. The Cab was fruity and long when accompanied by the goat's milk cheese. With the Swiss I noted dark cherries and tobacco, with a good length.
Final verdict. This wine was quite good. But if you aren't restricted to organic I don't think that it justified its price tag. Once in a while I've had $10 wines that are almost as good.
